The Last Detail

Jack Nicholson is at his very best in this highly-acclaimed dramatic comedy from Hal Ashby about three sailors on the loose.

Two hard-boiled petty officers, Billy Buddusky and Mule Mulhall, are detailed to take a young sailor from a Virginia Naval Base to a Naval Prison to serve an eight-year sentence for a trivial offense. They take a liking to the sailor and are determined to show him a good time. As they get closer to their destination, their fondness for him makes it harder for them to execute their orders.
