The Mask

This Gothic-tinged short melodrama packs a cocktail of infidelity, deformity and jealousy into its tale of love gone sour.

This early effort by Don Chaffey (Jason and the Argonauts) manages to create an nice atmosphere of tension despite the budget limitations. The fact that its authors were a husband and wife writing team adds a piquancy to the story of a woman who plots the murder of her disfigured husband so she can be with her lover.
