In 1916, a British soldier and two Bedouin boys embark on a treacherous journey across the desert, in this stunningly shot Arabian western.
In 1916, on the eve of the Arab revolt, orphaned brothers Hussein and Theeb (Arabic for wolf) are visited in the night by a mysterious British officer.
Adhering to the strict code of Bedouin honour, the two boys find themselves assisting the man on a treacherous journey across the desert. Along the way, they will encounter Arab revolutionaries, Ottoman mercenaries and bloodthirsty raiders. British-born writer-director Naji Abu Nowar announces himself as a major new talent with his feature debut, a stunningly shot journey into the unforgiving heart of the desert, for which he spent a year living among a real Bedouin tribe. Nominated for the Sutherland Award in the First Feature Competition at the BFI London Film Festival 2014.
