Pablo Larrain's drama about a dancer obsessed by Travolta's character in Saturday Night Fever is a darkly witty take on life in Pinochet's Chile

Centred on a pitch-perfect lead performance by Alfredo Castro, Pablo Larrain's oblique, measured tale of an amateur dancer dangerously obsessed by the John Travolta character in Saturday Night Fever offers a darkly deadpan, deeply disturbing portrait of Santiago under Pinochet's dictatorship. Morals and minds are skewed, life is cheap, people disappear. Frighteningly convincing, grimly compelling.
