Widely judged Dickens' finest novel, and certainly one of his most gripping and atmospheric, Great Expectations tells of Pip, a young orphan who unexpectedly comes into a fortune via an anonymous benefactor. Jeremy Irvine and Holliday Grainger head up this dark and sumptuous adaptation, with Ralph Fiennes as Magwitch and Helen Bonham Carter as a very gothic Miss Haversham.
