Tarantino concludes his masterful martial arts saga in thrilling style, as the Bride (Uma Thurman) finally arrives at her fateful encounter with her former fiancé and mentor, Bill (David Carradine).

Tarantino's penchant for timeline tangents find us flitting us back and forth in time, as he contrasts the Bride's current struggles with the gruelling combat training that formed her skills, under the tutelage of kung-fu master Pai Mei (the great Gordon Liu). While the pace is a notch reduced from the hyperactive extremes of the previous volume, Tarantino still delivers a deliriously satisfying conclusion to his loving grindhouse homage.
