This Is Tomorrow

The final part of Saint Etienne and Paul Kelly’s London trilogy follows the renovation and reopening of the Royal Festival Hall through 2005-7.

Commissioned by the Royal Festival Hall to mark its renovation and reopening, the final collaboration between director Paul Kelly and Saint Etienne lovingly records the immense labour and attention to detail that went into the refurbishment of one of London’s most distinguished concert venues.

As well as an evocative soundtrack by Saint Etienne it features revealing interviews with the Hall’s designers, past and present, as well as Jeremy Deller and Alain de Botton.
