Barking Dogs Never Bite

A professor takes drastic action to silence a barking dog in this superb debut feature from Bong Joon Ho, the Oscar-winning director of Parasite.

In a bustling apartment building, out-of-work college professor Ko Yun-ju (Sung-jae Lee) grows increasingly irritated by the incessant barking of dogs so hatches a plan to put an end to their noisy reign. Meanwhile, curious young woman, Park Hyun-nam (Doona Bae), takes it upon herself to unravel the mystery of the vanishing canines. Bong Joon Ho’s sharp satire of modern urban life deftly tackles themes of alienation, social discontent, the hunger for fame and animal rights.
