A Family Holiday at Butlins in Bognor Regis

Bognor's Butlins is the venue for this nostalgic film from the early 60s - featuring a packed swimming pool, a kiddie playground and a dance hall full of Twisters

We start in a crowded indoor swimming pool at Butlins holiday camp before moving to an open area surrounded by various pavilions. Note the large hoarding advertising Woodbine cigarettes. We next go to a playground where children play on slides, roundabouts and climbing frames. The film then moves to Butlins' Dance Hall where people, mostly women and in all sorts of clothing, dance the Twist. Finally, we see Mum, in a bright red coat, walking with her son by the outdoor pool.
