The Duke of Kent visits the Southern Railway's Eastleigh Works in this Home Front film which also shows the local Home Guard on the march and a tank that carries its own bridge.
This film shows a visit by Prince George, Duke of Kent to the Southern Railway's Eastleigh works some time before August 1942. After his departure there is an inspection and parade of the work's Home Guard followed by a march through the town. This is followed by a sequence showing a bridge-laying tank in action. Note the large number of barrage balloons nearby. Then it's back to Eastleigh Works for a demonstration of firefighting skills by the Southern Railway's own AFS team.
Jack Francis ran weekly 16mm film shows in Colden Common village hall and was also said to own a small cinema in Sunningdale.
