In the same year as James Bond made him famous, Sean Connery puts in an awkward plea to help blind people live an independent life.
Despite the triumphalist soundtrack and blunt commentary by Connery, this film demonstrated that blind people are as employable as anyone else with the right workplace support. The Royal National Institute for the Blind was the main charity helping Blind and partially sighted people in the 1960’s and is still in existence today.
