From the Lawford collection of home movies, this reel contains footage of two weddings – one in 1955 and the second, at St Andrew’s in Willesden, in 1956. It’s great to see how people acted and dressed at weddings at this time – a particular stand-out is the shot of four young men with huge quiffs deep in conversation. Also has nice scenes of children playing, couples dancing, speeches, confetti and cake-cutting.
