This film, produced in the days when people ran their cars on ‘motor spirit’, is designed to show how Cory’s miners (and pit ponies) get the valuable Welsh steam coal from the ground, how well the company looks after them and how far-reaching is the influence of Cory Brothers & Company Limited, with oil refineries across the globe. The film not only has English inter-titles but also Spanish, indicating the company’s interests abroad.
