Psychedelic freakouts in Cheltenham?
Right in the middle of 1967's Summer of Love, Gwyn Richards finds a hippie in that most gentile of towns: Cheltenham. It may be the birth place of Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones but Cheltenham was more usually associated with retired colonels and aging spinsters. We're not sure how committed to the hippie cause this unnamed interviewee is as he admits to probably going back to the 'greaser' fashion when the hippie craze fades away.
