A 1971 race relations report claimed that Leamington Spa was way ahead in its dealings with issues arising from migrants settling in the town.

In 1971 multiculturalism may not have been the buzzword it was to become but a positive story was a step in the right direction and a bright spot in what was often a racially divided decade.
