You might not remember Bill, Jill and the fruit-shaped hill, but there is still much to delight in this animated bedtime story. Bernice Myers illustrated many children’s story and science books, and collaborated with fellow American Irving A. Leitner on Pear-shaped Hill in 1960. Over a decade on and a British publisher initiated this filmed version which faithfully captures the many qualities of the original drawings.
