Steam Museum at Cadeby Vicarage

At a vicarage in Leicestershire a little bit of the old Great Western Railway lives on.

Edwin 'Teddy' Boston, the Rector of Cadeby in Leicestershire, was nicknamed 'the fat clergyman' by that fellow railway enthusiast and man of the cloth, Reverend W. Awdry. Here we see Boston demonstrating his pride and joy: a scale model of a Devon section of the Great Western Railway. Particularly impressive is his devotion to scale accuracy even going as far as creating a fast running clock that can replicate the entire working day in only three hours.

Teddy Boston, who also operated a working narrow gauge railway in his garden, died in 1986.
