A snatched kiss in a railway tunnel, played by real-life married couple GA Smith and Laura Bayley
This is a construction of two films as they may have been exhibited in 1899, according to the suggestion of GA Smith's catalogue. It comprises a fictional scene in a train carriage in which a married couple take advantage of a rare moment of privacy as the train goes into a tunnel, bookended by a 'phantom ride' made by Cecil Hepworth called View from an Engine Front - Shilla Mill Tunnel. Together, the two create a nicely cinematic narrative.
