A mother, who sits at her sewing machine inside her house, warns her daughter to stay on the pavement, to no avail. An on screen counter runs down from 60 seconds in real-time building the feeling of dread as the seconds tick by.
This government film is a public record, preserved and presented by the BFI National Archive on behalf of The National Archives, home to more than 1,000 years of British history.
