The “flying sweethearts” – Amy and Jim – left Pendine Sands on 22/7/1933 for New York, after waiting a number of weeks for suitable weather over the Atlantic, their plane and the anticipated event attracting considerable attention. A lack of fuel, despite extra tanks, forced a crash landing at Bridgeport Airport in Connecticut. This title also includes footage of the ship 'Herzogin Cecilie', grounded on 25/4/1936 near Salcombe, Devon.
