A tidy exit from an unidentified factory in Edwardian Barrow in Furness.
This is one of the least crowded and best-behaved of Mitchell and Kenyon's 'factory gate' films (the space between people is striking). It was commissioned by the prolific Ralph Pringle. A bowler-hatted showman is visible to the right of the arch. The rather touching second shot of a lone, uniformed man (a decorated veteran?) is enigmatic now, though perhaps self-explanatory to local viewers then.
