Men and boys (and one woman) outside an Edwardian engineering factory.
Local reports suggest attractions at the 1900 Wakes Fair in Gorton included no fewer than three films of local workpeople. Though presented by rival showmen, at least two were produced for them by the enterprising Mitchell and Kenyon. One, for showman John Cordwell, was their film of Ryland's Mill. Another was this footage at Beyer, Peacock and Co, commissioned and shown by William Clark.
