What do you get if you cross a cartoon, a cat and mouse chase, a game of one-upmanship, and an exquisite corpse exercise? Well it might be something a little bit like this, produced by a trio of women animators with over a century of combined experience in their industry. The diverse styles and techniques on show are testament to the skills of the creators and the freeform (particularly financially) manner in which the film was self-produced.

Director Vera Linnecar joined Halas & Batchelor Cartoons fresh out of art school early in WWII, at a similar time to Liz Horn (then Liz Williams). Nancy Hanna started at the Larkins Studio in the mid-1940s, where Vera later joined her. After a stint at Pearl and Dean, the duo joined Bob Godfrey at Biographic Films in 1957, and remained as directors there until retirement in 1983. This is one of five independent shorts that Vera directed between 1965 and 1980.
