Martin Gorham presents a video update to his staff, outlining some of his department's past achievements and upcoming challenges.
Martin Gorham, Chief Executive of the National Blood Service, presents a video update to staff, outlining some of his department's past achievements and upcoming challenges. Part morale-boosting speech, part sober summary of their continual blood supply shortages, Gorham's address offers an interesting snapshot of the demands faced by individual NHS departments.
Gorham also introduces excerpts from a number of films produced by the service, including The Strange Case of Penny Alison, which features Hugh Grant and Imelda Staunton and is available to watch in full on BFI Player. This government film is a public record, preserved and presented by the BFI National Archive on behalf of The National Archives, home to more than 1,000 years of British history.
