The changing face of streets and industry is examined by a cine club member in this vivid portrait of Kingston
Filmmakers from Kingston and District Movie Makers document Kingston upon Thames, providing unique informal coverage of key locations, though with a less than positive spin. We see the market place, closed shops and boarded up houses and the train station. We swiftly move to a flooded road where two pedestrians, one in wellies, risk crossing, followed by two braver cyclists and a very tentative car! Finally crowds pour out of the parish church after a busy service.
This film is from the collection of Kingston Heritage Service, a member of the London's Screen Archives Network.
