Preston's Sturges' sparkling saga of sex, lies and money sees a woman (Claudette Colbert) leave her husband (Joel McCrea) because of pressing financial problems; as she boards a train for Florida in the hope of finding a wealthy second husband, she just happens to bump into a dotty billionaire (Rudy Vallée). Then things get really complicated... Almost outrageously imaginative, the film revels in marvellously colourful characters and pleasingly absurd coincidence.
