Seagull is a recovering drug addict who is about to have a very strange night on The English Riviera.
Seagull follows a recovering drug addict on the English Riviera as he drifts through the shadows of brightly coloured piers and arcades. Beneath the bustle of tourism lies the cold reality of social deprivation, and as the night unfolds, things begin to turn very strange indeed.
Drawing on the director’s lived experience as a support worker for people with mental health issues in NA meetings, this unsettling horror sort explores addiction, vulnerability, and the thin line between recovery and relapse. Produced by Rebecca Wolff and Simeon Costello, Seagull was made with the support of BFI NETWORK, awarding National Lottery funding. Contains strong drug use and bloody images.
