Worker and War Front No. 3

A wartime magazine made to motivate and inform war workers, commissioned by the Ministry of Information in 1942 and exclusively screened in factories.

This issue opens with Britain’s dockworkers grafting to shift cargo that made it through a German blockade of British merchant shipping. Their efforts provide an invaluable lifeline to a home front heavily reliant on imports to sustain the fight against fascism. There is also a feature on cartoonist David Low’s appreciation for Soviet Russian animation.
