A canoeing miner is on course for the Olympics in this story from the June 1952 edition of Mining Review, the coal industry's cinemagazine. Shown in training with the recently formed Midland Canoe Club, Nottinghamshire miner Billy Churn went on to compete in the Helsinki Summer Games, along with fellow club member Tom Hezseltine.
