Amateur footage of dams and canals in what is now Pakistan
This amateur film combines footage shot between 1935 and 1947, including various scenes of irrigation in the Punjab, now Pakistan - from dams and canals in Firozpur, Trimmu and Kalabagh to simpler village water schemes.
The home movies of T. Burtt, an official in the Indian Foreign Service, offer a vivid picture of Simla, Ajmer, Pushkar and, particularly, Lahore in the 1930s.
