For her Jarman Award commission, Emily Wardill produced a series of five short films, collectively titled Carlyle's Hands. Ostensibly a contemporary love story, Carlyle's Hands sees Wardill subtly unpack the narrative forms of the thriller to explore themes of self awareness, questions of perception and investigations into our own consciousness.
