The creator of Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, relaxes with his family in Windlesham and goes on tour to Egypt, Africa and Australia
This unique and charming film from the 1920s begins with Arthur Conan Doyle walking with members of his family around Windlesham Manor, East Sussex. He plays with a terrier and practises his golf putts. We then see holiday scenes in Egypt before returning to the Sir John Barleymow pub in Hampshire. Scenes aboard the liner Aquitania are followed by footage in Brisbane, Australia. The Victoria Falls are also seen before the film returns to Windlesham Manor.
