A home movie medley that includes the Pantycrwys Chapel Sunday School procession and a visit to relatives by proud parents bearing a new baby.
As is often the case with home movie material, this is a wonderful compilation of widely different, unedited 'stories', with only the one title card as the viewers for whom it was originally intended would have needed no help with locations and events, usually being part of the action themselves. There's a Sunday School parade, a local bus with driver and conductor, a digger at work, a dog with flapping tongue, a playful kitten and a couple visiting family with their new baby.
Joe Ivor Davies (1906-92), miner and opera-lover, filmed the Craig-cefn-parc community from the 1940s to the 1970s, often from the windows of his house which gave panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and looked down on the main road through the village along which people regularly passed.
