Celebrate the brave men of the London Fire Brigade during WW1 with this newsreel featuring drills and presentation of medals.

At the London Fire Brigade headquarters, based in Southwark, the film opens with a demonstration of fire fighting using relatively new apparatus, including smoke helmets, to combat a blaze. Firemen then line up to receive their medals of bravery from Sir Cyril Jackson, an educationalist and Chairman of the London County Council in 1915.
