This beautifully-shot Gaumont Graphic newsreel from February 1915 has an intriguingly nautical theme: gallant sea-faring heroes are decorated by the King while moored in the River Hamble near Southampton. The naval cadet training ship 'Mercury' makes a striking presence on the horizon next to a multi-stored wooden accommodation vessel.
