The South West Film and Television Archive (SWFTA) is the regional film archive for the South West of England. Established in 1993, SWFTA's core collection comprises of the combined programme libraries of Westward Television and TSW (Television South West). The archive also cares for a significant number of donated film collections, both amateur and professional, dating back to the early 1900s.

Overview
Ex-Somerset cricketer Bill Alley and Jack Crapp umpire this 1971 Gillette Cup Match between Somerset and Lancashire. The knockout competition is a limited overs game played in one day but this ran to two days. Somerset finishes on 206-8 after 60 overs with Roy Virgin on 105 runs not out and Peter Lever taking two wickets for 19 runs off 12 overs. Lancashire wins by 6 wickets on 208-4 with David Lloyd on 94 not out and Allan Jones taking 1 wicket for 23 runs off 10 overs.
The Somerset XI team includes Virgin, Kitchen, Close, Robinson, Burgess, Clarkson, Cartright, Taylor, Langford, Jones and the Lancashire XI team, who goes on to win the Cup by defeating Kent at Lord’s, is David Lloyd, Wood, Pilling, Clive Lloyd, Sullivan, Engineer, Bond, Hughes, Simmons, Lever, and Shuttleworth. Lancashire is batting on Monday 17 May (there was no play on the Sunday) with Peter Lever bowling from the River End and batsmen facing from the Old Pavilion End. The West Indian international Clive Lloyd is shown at the end of the film batting from the River End. He captained the West Indies between 1974 and 1985 and played for Lancashire from 1968 to 1986 and was the first West Indian to gain 100 caps.
